Portsmouth Loop

Need to get around Downtown Portsmouth? The Loop will get you there. With shuttles running every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes during off-peak hours, you are sure to get to and from anywhere in Downtown Portsmouth in no time for only $.50!
The NET

Norfolk Electric Transit, or NET, is the complimentary downtown shuttle provided by the City of Norfolk and operated by Hampton Roads Transit. Whether weekday or weekend, the NET provides service to employment destinations and major attractions throughout the downtown area.
Paddlewheel Ferry

HRT’s Paddlewheel Ferry is a system of three 150-passenger paddle-wheel ferry boats, one of which is the world’s first natural gas-powered pedestrian ferry. The Ferry travels between Portsmouth and Norfolk downtowns.
Handi-Ride

For the comfort and convenience of our certified Persons with Disabilities, HRT provides a curb-to-curb lift-equipped van service. In order to become certified, call 757-222-6087 and request an eligibility application.
Bikes on Buses

HRT buses are equipped with bike racks that hold up to two bikes. The bike racks are easy to use and best of all, your bike rides free! Rack it. Ride it.
