User Citizen Advisory Committee
The User Citizen Advisory Committee was established by the Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads in January 2002. Representatives from each of the cities served by Hampton Roads Transit were appointed to serve on this committee.
Committee Objectives for the UCAC are as follows
- Help keep Hampton Roads Transit informed about issues affecting our customers.
- Suggest ideas for improving operations and services.
- Provide input into Hampton Roads Transit customer outreach activities.
- Share information with Hampton Roads Transit about customers and the community at-large about Hampton Roads Transit services and avenues for providing input concerning service improvements.
Committee Membership Makeup
- The committee may be comprised of up to 21 members; 3 from each city served by Hampton Roads Transit.
- Hampton Roads Transit staff and Commissioners will recommend committee members to be appointed by the Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads Chairperson.
- Committee members may serve two-year terms. They may be reappointed by the Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads Chairperson for additional terms as recommended by the Commission(s) of the represented city.
- Committee members should include, but not limited to, Hampton Roads Transit customers or represent Hampton Roads customers.
