Brian Smith

Brian Smith is the Interim Chief Communications Officer, responsible for the Communications, Community and Government Relations, Marketing and Customer Service departments. Mr. Smith began his career at HRT in December 2008.

Prior to HRT, Mr. Smith worked as a licensed Realtor and project manager in real estate development, marketing and sales. He also served in the United States Army. Among several awards and decorations, he was named air defense 1994 Soldier of the Year at Ft. Riley, KS.

Mr. Smith was a Delta International Scholar in 1998 and studied in Brussels, Belgium before returning to graduate as Valedictorian of his class from Southeastern University. In addition to a seminary degree, he holds a master’s degree in public policy from Regent University and an advanced graduate certificate in public administration from ODU.
