Brian K. Jackson

Brian Jackson is the General Counsel of Hampton Roads Transit. He is responsible for all legal affairs for the organization. He is a member of the senior leadership team and serves as Secretary of HRT’s governing board.

Prior to joining HRT, Brian was Vice President and General Counsel for Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc., in Richmond, Virginia, where he was responsible for all legal affairs and real estate matters for this multi-divisional retail and manufacturing company. Before Ukrop’s, Brian practiced law with Hirschler Fleischer, a Richmond area law firm. He is also a former General District Court Substitute Judge.

Brian is a member of the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners and the Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority. His community involvement includes service on boards of directors of over twenty organizations, companies and civic entities.

Brian is a native of Hampton, Virginia and obtained degrees from the College of William and Mary School of Law and Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2003, he was the recipient of the VCU Alumni Star Award.
